@USDayofRageFL: What’s The Plan? Who Are You? And other assorted questions

I’ve been asked allot of questions lately by people that “follow” or “like” or are friends of us on Facebook and are following us on Twitter @USDayofRageFl and also by those that are filling out the contact form on the National website and the information is forwarded to @USDayofRageFL.

To be clear @USDayofRageFL is recruiting and organizing in Florida, autonomously, but in cooperation with the National @USDayofRage to organize a national non-violent protest to reclaim democracy on an official US Day of Rage.

So who is @USDayofRage?

“On March 10, we established the Twitter profile @USDayofRage and the Twitter hash tag #USDOR as a common rallying point for Americans (and supporters worldwide).

Americans are outraged because they realize that there is something terribly wrong with the way our nation is governed, and the way in which our public discourse is conducted.

The nation's institutions, meant to underpin the principles of our democratic republic, do not function effectively in the 21st century.

Their failure leaves us prey to rampant corruption, unprincipled and abusive government action, and a demoralized populace.

We at US Day of Rage place democratic principles before any particular personality or party, even our own.

Talking point politics and double speak only compound our nation's problem. They corrode our primary column, the intelligence and genuine good will of the American people.

We are currently organizing a national non-violent protest to reclaim democracy on an official US Day of Rage.

We will announce the date when our Twitter profile reaches 50,000 followers.

We have established an official hash tag on Twitter #USDOR, where we call on Americans and our supporters worldwide to voice their grievances.”

The principles are these:

1.Non Violence -US Day of Rage is non violent. Violence is behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something. Please see resources for information about how to organize and practice non-violent resistance and civil disobedience.

2. Principles before Party -We place principles and our objectives before party.  US Day of Rage will never endorse, finance, or lend our name to any candidate or party.  We support a citizen’s right to so affiliate, and we understand that individuals and groups participating in the US Day of Rage may be so affiliated.

3. Volunteer - Every US Day of Rage organizational committee on the state, city, and federal level should be entirely self-supporting, declining outside contributions from any political party, association, or candidate.  US Day of Rage is not a money making operation.  We are volunteers.  No treasury should be kept.  We do this lest problems of money, property, or prestige divert us from our primary aim, reforming our elections.   Our logo and content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States License, unless otherwise noted.  Use it, just don't abuse it.

4. Autonomous Except in Matters Affecting the Whole -Individual state, city, and federal demonstrations are autonomous, except in matters affecting the whole. We do not support, for example, violations to our principle of non-violence. US Day of Rage dot com, org, etc. is here to help facilitate state and city level organization, and to organize the federal protest at the US Capitol.

There are other sources of information to keep you updated on all the different efforts all over the Nation and boy, is there movement everywhere. The beauty is that we are not affiliated with anyone or anything. So the powers that be will not even know how to respond, although they will try. 

You know, the vast majority of the masses in these United State are divided and polarized by corporate media and corrupt politicians who feed on their political loyalties. It is hard to break bad habits. The absolute truth is this: blaming the other party and people in another party for the problems we all face as a Nation is a tool used by corrupt politicians and governments. They serve whoever has enough money to buy laws that are pillaging all of us, yet keep the masses fighting each other, which impedes uniting to fight our unbelievably corrupt government that is serving a ruling class and literally takes (steals) from us to give to them.

While the masses are doing that their government has been taken from them. If one loves one’s country and the concept of a government of, by and for the people, one would think the American people who pay for eternal wars and bring home fellow Americans in body bags supposedly fighting for “freedom” would have the courage, motivation and civic duty to take back their government right here on their own soil. The United State without one shot fired, no foreign armies and no terrorist has been taken from the people from within. No politician and no political party is going to give it back. Only the people can get it back. 

I rarely encounter anyone that needs convincing. It’s as if this is what we have all been waiting for because its not the same old Republican vs. Democrat argument and because of that how can we be defeated? LOL. But If you are still undecided then let me say this: with or without you there will be a @USDayofRage in Florida and throughout this Nation, that will get the attention of the powers that be, because no politician or party will hijack it and no corporation will buy it. It will get their attention because it is ours, the people’s.

The choice is yours but the rest of us need and are counting on you because without you we are weaker and have less power. Make no mistake, you, as one of we the people, need us too. Without us, the people that are rising up, for the good of the whole, you are and always will be insignificant and a victim of a corrupt government. Without the rest of us, you have no power and our power in turn comes from you.

I don’t know what else to say to get you involved. Frankly, I don’t think anyone shuold have to be convinced. Taking our country back from corporate oligarchs that are picking the meat off our bones through a corrupt Congress, to me needs no explaining. You are either going to fight to defend and get back your government of, by and for the people or you are not.

I don’t know what kind or persons choose not to fight for their country IN their country.

The Plan: What We Need

Simply put in in Florida as we begin organizing a location and date for our state, the first thing we need to do is grow @USDayofRageFL on Twitter.  My goal is to get to 10,000 from the whole State in each city and county because we are so spread out.

So we invite individuals, subject matter experts, and civic associations to help us in the following way:

1. Follow and support USDayofRageFL on Twitter.

2. Follow and support USDayofRageFl on Facebook

2. Contribute to the conversation on #USDOR on Twitter

3. Help us organize the US Day of Rage Protest

So this is what each of us needs to do for now:

*Each one that is following just has to recruit others to our rallying place which is @USDayofRageFl on Twitter. That is where we are meeting. We can’t organize anything if we don’t come togethere somewhere first. The Internet is a powerful tool to grow and recruit. Each of you has gone to school, works somewhere and lives and interacts everyday. Reach out to the networks that you know.

*If you are liberal then reach out to those organizations and the people you know in them in Florida. If you are Republican and especially a Tea Party advocate do the same. While the Tea Party masses are being villified, make no mistake, there are millions of them that feel betrayed by the Teocons in Congress that have continued the Neocon agendas and have increased the defense budget over last year’s. There are millions of liberals that feel betrayed by Obama for his corrupt Neocon agenda. The point is that no one is happy with government because it is corrupt and anyone unhappy with government corruption will have their voice finally on @USDayofRageFL. We have double trouble in Florida with a blatanly corrupt State legislature and Governor. We are all disgusted and that is our common ground. We will not let corporate media or any politician distract us with their bullshit party talk to take our eye off the prize: holding our government accountable for what they have done to us and our country because they run our government on bribery. We refuse to be divided anymore and that will completely confuse these arrogant, corrupt politicians and the pimps they serve. That is why @USDayofRage is so different and will succeed, because it is for all of us and doesn’t that just feel good? 

*Retweet and find hashtags pertinent to Florida. so that your Tweets reach others. Just promote, promote, promote and recruit to our meeting place that is @USDayofRageFl on Twitter. BTW anyone that follows @USDayofRage we will follow so you can DM us.

*Beyone the Internet you can print out the fliers or email me and I will print them out and mail them free of charge. If anyone else can do the same then do so. 

*All those that are following now and in the future announce yourself! Tweet who you are and where you are. Simply tweet to say hey I’m here. Tweet about your efforts and what you are doing. Tell us each time you recruit someone and introduce them.  Start talking to each other at #usdorfl

US Day of Rage: A Serious, Life Altering Choice

I want to welcome you and thank you for your interest in becoming part of a US Day of Rage.

It is painfully clear that given current and past events in these United States of America and the drama in Washington, the American people are faced with a choice that they can no longer kick down the road or ignore: whether to remain divided, clinging still, to the belief that politicians in the other political party are going to govern ethically and responsibly for the well being of the people or do we choose to accept that politicians regardless of party, with very few exceptions, are stunningly, blatantly corrupt?   Anyone with half a brain knows the answer.

There is a point when you have to succumb and admit to yourself that it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter who you vote for because when they get elected they serve lobbyists. They serve the highest bidders. You shrug your shoulders in acceptance. You accept that it's called campaign finance and that is how elections work. Congress made it all legal.

But is it really?  What does it mean that elected leaders serve the highest bidders, a ruling class with money? Look it up in a dictionary. We are so used to it that we forgotten what it means. It's bribery. Its corruption and it means that the United States is not a democracy. It is repugnant to a constitution that guarantees a government of, for and by the people. When a country is ruled by bribery, it is not a government of, by and for the people. In essence your government is not yours anymore.

By simply blaming the other party we release ourselves from our duty to fight the noble and necessary fight that only we the people can fight to take back our government from a select few, oligarchs that have bought our government. I don't want to fight on this side or that. In the alternate, if it is the fight of our lives as a people united and committed to preserve our freedoms, our way of life and our self determination to take back our government from corrupt politicians that no longer serve we the people, then that is the choice before me, before us all.

It is a grave choice. Not because I am worried about me, but because I worry with good reason that my power as a free citizen to demand from my government becomes nothing if I am alone. The power I have, that power that each of us has, lies in numbers. Without you I am not strong and without me, neither are you. We depend on each other and that's why unity is so important.

The United States, not by paranoid conspiracy theory, but by definition, is not a democracy. It is the Land of Kings, the Land of the Highest bidders. There are those that say they love their country and would fight for it. They accept fighting or paying for eternal wars on foreign lands because “they are fighting for freedom and our country”. What kind of love for country is it that some can’t, some won’t, some choose to look to the other party, instead of fighting for your country, IN your country? What kind of love is it that a person needs convincing?

I choose not to be that person. I don’t need to be convinced. If someone takes your country you take it back. So I choose. I choose my country above party, above Fox, MSNBC and all the other propaganda, oligarch media and above the utter distraction of clinging to the other party.

If this movement is bipartisan against corruption and a treasonous Congress and State legislatures that serve oligarchs then I choose and I am hoping you choose too, A UNITED STATES DAY OF RAGE.

AND I am hoping to grow this call to action fast and furious here in Florida.

I suggest though that they look just as good in black and white because those copiers are more readily available to people.
